about

A warbling acidic industrial soundscape. It features samples from a talk by a representative of the Australian Conservation Foundation. He explains that the 'in-situ leach mining' of Uranium by General Atomics at Beverley in South Australia posed/poses a grave threat to Australia's future fresh water supplies. Recorded 1998-99. This soundpiece received substantial airplay on community radio stations across Australia. It was also released on a compilation CD called 'BeatzWorkz' by Organarchy Sound Systems around 2000.
